The Ocean Cleanup Project - Large Scale Ocean Cleanup

In school, Boyan Slat did a science project on controlling the amount of plastic ocean debris. The success of his study led him to create The Ocean Cleanup Project, a non-profit organization with the sole purpose of implementing his ideas.  Slat estimates that his ocean cleanup array can remove 7,250,000 tons of plastic from our oceans.  The most impressive part is Slat is just 21 years old and has devoted himself to solving a global issue of sustainability. The least impressive part is the fact that there is 7,250,000 tons of plastic in our oceans.  Step up the recycling.
