Google's Project Loon - Offering Internet to Remote Areas

Most of us have never considered the fact that 60% of the world doesn't have access to the internet. Network connectivity has become such an integral part of our lives that the thought of not having instant access to information seems debilitating.  Google's Project Loon is a perfect example of what we stand for at Assert Asylum.  We see the value in access to information and shared concepts.  We also encourage revolutionary thought in order to develop creative solutions to the world's problems.  Google recognizes the social and economic benefit to providing internet access to the 4.3 billion people that telecommunications companies have yet to reach.  Project Loon is launching helium balloons with solar powered electronics that radio link to telecommunication networks in order to beam down high speed cellular network connection.  Wow.
